Meaning-In Mahabharata Bhisma was also the disciple of Lord Krisna.Krishna had promised that he will not lift arms during Mahabharata War.But Bhishma promised"Today I shall force Lord Krishna to lift the arms , otherwise,it shall be matter of shame for my Holy mother river Ganjes and for my brave father Shantanu".Finally the Lord Krishna could not control himself looking at horrible fighting of the Brave Bhishma against Pandava,the lord Krishna had lifted arms and ran to kill the Brave Bhishma. That very moment Bhishma leaved his bows and arrows ,paid his obeisance to the Lord Krishna with tearful eyes,love for the Lord Krishna and told " O lord I have fulfilled my promise ,now I am very fortunate that master of universe is coming to kill me.Please kill me so that I shall get the deliverance from this painful word ,immediately."Then the lord Kirishna remembered his promise ,he left the arms and blessed his disciple Bhishma for his bravery.So disciples have only the capacity to defeat their Gods/Masters in their love and nobody...................
